Hi all,

I am stuck trying to convert my college marks into GPA format.

Someone recommended the GPA conversion as per wikipedia, but that doesnt give a correct figure (i have 80%+ which translates to a GPA of 4.0 as per wiki)

Anyone out there who have managed to find an appropriate calculation system for this?

Thanks

I have never tried the wikipedia method but 80% = 4.0 GPA is not a correct conversion.
You may have better luck searching on google or on GD. Many students from India face this question often and I imagine there are lot of posts about it already
For example http://www.slpcommunity.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=109&PN=1

Don't worry too much about how you convert your percentage. We have people in our admission committee who is well-versed with the Indian college grading system.

Be sure to put your percentage, class rank and the converting scale you use in your application. We will take care the rest for you.
GPA, grade is not the sole factor in our evaluation. There are other things we will take into account and evaluate equally.

Best of luck
