formal announcement of the President-elect

Ms Bridgette Xia announced her candidacy for the office of the presidency of QuantNetwork in October, 2006. There are no other candidates who have announced their intentions to run by the October 31, 2006 deadline. Therefore, Ms Xia is the President-elect.

Ms Xia, your first duty is to begin assembling the officer leadership.

Why so much formality, Jimmy ? :D You are well-suited for a job as a wedding MC. The restaurants in Flushing and Chinatown are hiring :)

We need to involve more full-time students. If you want to be a part of Quantnet club, please state in what capacity you can help.

Yan He will run for VP of QuantNetWork!

1. I have got so much from QuantNetWork, I want to give back as much as I can to it.

2. As a full-time student, I can get more involved in the activities and service (that means "If I am not there, I am on the way to Quant Lab"); Whenever you need me, I will be here. Of course I believe I will get precious experience from the service.

3. In the past six months, I do have great times with peoples in our program and I would like to keep this friendly atmosphere for another year (at least).



(I hope with this announcement, some guys can jump out saying "hi, we've already got a lady for president....as gentleman, I want to run for.....") :smt006 :smt006 WE WANT YOU HERE IN QUANTNETWORK.

Thank you and thank all of you! Especially I want to thank Yan He (Maggie) for expressing her interests in one of the positions. I also do hope that Yan's initiative inspires and encourages more people to join the new leadership.

Please, if you are interested in serving our student body, please email me privately and state what positions you might be interested in and the reasons of your interests. And if you have brilliant ideas for office positions, I would be so excited to hear them and go creative!!

Holding an office means responsibility, commitment, trust, understanding, and of course, fun!!!

I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate all of you and how excited I am about this service opportunity.
