Fellow students:
Baruch College has tremendous resources for the student population.
Student organizations, school departments, the Newman Library, and
other centers hold events, seminars, etc. that enrich us
intellectually, academically, socially, culturally, and career-wise.
The key is to be plugged into the Baruch community.
By executive order, I am establishing the Bureau of Communications.
The goals of this Bureau are the following:
1) aggregate the information (date, time, location, description) of
all the events, seminars, important matters (ie: yearbook pictures or
graduate socials) etc. that will be held in Baruch for the week
2) distribute every Monday the aggregate information to the financial
engineering student population by posting in the forums on QuantNet or
via e-mail
The Bureau of Communications should be staffed by at most 3
individuals. The workload is very light; most of the work would be
just copying and pasting from other aggregate websites - I have
information of these aggregate websites. The Bureau members will have
broad latitude of how to perform the work as long as the goals are
achieved. The first round of Bureau members will serve November,
December, and February, 2007; upon the end of the term, the President
will appoint new members or renew the current members.
I want to move aggressively on this. The first posting of the Bureau
should occur on Monday, November 16.
Who are willing to join this Committee?
Jimmy
