Everyone, past, present and future students, members of the faculty, onlookers, sycophants, wannabes and market practitioners are all invited for drinks and perhaps even some food on Thursday the 24th of April. The place is as yet to be decided. It will be somewhere in the immediate vicinity of Baruch, most likely the Grand saloon or perhaps "the place on third avenue where we went after last semester's probability final." Post your opinion. Staring time will be six-ish or seven-ish. Stay tuned for final official instructions.

BTW, it would be good if new quantnet lurkers/prospective students/new students join. It would be like an open house in a bar. There is no better way to break the ice than let the alcohol flow!!! :D

It looks like you started to drink earlier than everybody.
A lot of people came to the meet and greet. Nice to see new incoming students as well as alumni and current students. The director as well as one of our professors came to drink which is really nice.
In all, I think we have close to 40 people in attendance. I left around 9PM and a lot of people are still there.

Wish I could have come, but I'm afraid it's a quite a tiresome drive all the way from Florida. Since this gathering was in NYC, I suggest that for the next one, we meet halfway - say like Kentucky or Tennessee. :D

Andy, you missed the huge afterward dinner in CONGEE VILLAGE for a table of 14 :)
This begs the question who is responsible for not taking pictures when you guys went to the village for food. I know I will miss the food but at least I can count on someone taking pictures of the food.

You kidding, picture ? Billy ate the plates after finished the pork dumplings, and almost finshed my leftover for the homeless guys :D:D
