Although I could not connect, people were online today. Here are the answers to the questions posted online:

[08:13] <Poirot> Out of curiosity, are most of you guys prospective applicants for 2008 or 2009?
[08:13] <sanket> 2008
[08:13] <bobbychopra> 2008
[08:13] <Carl> 2008

Good luck!

[08:18] <Carl> does anyone know if there is a minimum number of classes to take
if you go part time?
[08:19] <bobbychopra> as far as I know, you could even take 1 class parttime
[08:19] <bobbychopra> you could even skip a semester

Part-time student means you take less than 4 classes a semester. You can switch between PT and FT without doing anything. You can take semesters off. The official requirement is to complete the degree in 5 years, but almost every part-time students completes it in 3 years or less.

[08:28] <DinoII> hi, does anyone know if Baruch allows students to waive or at
least challenge any courses? I have a lot of C++ programming experience,
and also a CFA designation and was thinking if I could substitute with
some advanced courses.

You can substitute more advanced courses, provided your advisor agrees that you have the knowledge taught in a certain class.

[08:31] <Quantnet43> is it still time to apply for baruch?

The deadline for applying for Fall 2008 admission in April 30.

[08:32] <Poirot> DinoII: I read somewhere in the quantnet forums that you can transfer up to 3 classes. But find out for sure from Dan.

You can get credit for up to four classes, provided you did not take those classes as part of a completed degree.

[08:32] <Carl> does anyone know how long it takes to hear from Baruch
after your application is complete?

It varies, but should be less than a month since your application was COMPLETE.

[08:32] <Quantnet43> 04for quick review, could i send paper materials including scans of GRE/TOEFL scores to you?

We need official documents to evaluate the application. We do not do ``quick reviews".

[08:33] <DinoII> Anyone here from India? I have a question about immunization records (whatever they might be :))

Worry about this after you arrive to begin your studies.

[08:40] <Carlos> a new date for the chat will be posted on the site, right?

Yes, it will, as soon as we figure out why was I not able to connect to the Chat.
