I thought the new building Vertical Campus (VC) is so cool. It's new and ultra modern. The library is kinda hip, it's like a blend of Starbucks and an internet cafe without the drinks. There are glass, computers and wireless connection everywhere. There are so many students with laptop... you wouldn't believe this is a public college.
There are lot more to explore but I like what I saw so far.

Now that I don't waste time waiting for the elevator, it isn't as bad - too bad the cafe on the 2nd floor doesn't stay open later though!

Frank, you may get better health climbing up 6 floors. Just kidding, there are elevators everywhere. I don't spend much time in the cafeteria so can't comment.
The ID center is super quick :D
The lounge area with internet terminals are very nice...I'm trying to see where i can complain...

Shall we start the complain with the ISSC? Yes, yes, I am taking potshots at them and I am only human.

From an aesthetic standpoint, the building looks bulky and somewhat lacking in character. It was a turn-off for me at first sight because I was reminded of those huge floating ships cum processing plants that we design and engineer. Wonder what the feeling will be when I am physically there. Then again, what do I know!

My 2 cents.

Hehe, I think 'bulky' is a rhetoric way of saying 'stability', I'd like to be in a tall building that's stable, makes me feel secure when I'm in it :)

I find the building one of the best places to study I have seen anywhere in the US, with a library to match it. If you haven't seen it yet, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I'll see you there soon Jimmy :D . I'm sure Baruch's gym is new and nice but I personally think Lehman's multi-million dollar Apex is the best gym complex of all CUNY colleges. Its beautiful, tree-line campus has been voted the most beautiful of CUNY. Again, i'm biased because I'm a Lehman graduate. :-
As for Baruch's gym, i'm looking forward to use this

Some of the noteworthy mentions
In 2003 the American Institute of Architects honored the Vertical Campus with the highest award given to an individual building.

Bert W. and Sandra Wasserman Trading Floor / Subotnick Financial Services Center

The Subotnick Center is the only business school resource of its kind in New York and one of a handful of comparable facilities at top educational institutions nationwide. Its centerpiece is the Bert W. and Sandra Wasserman Trading Floor, a fully equipped, simulated trading environment featuring 42 high-end networked computer workstations, continuous live data feeds, real-time market quotes, and computerized trading models.
